SOCIAL STRUCTURE
The social structure relates to the Feudal System, meaning that the people of the land were categorised into importance. The order was (1 meaning the strongest)
Once you were born who you were, it was rare to change. Depending on who you were, you would be treated differently to the others. Peasants were the least respected because of what they do and how they were not important.
- pope/church - highly respected member of the church
- monarch - the King or Queen who were head of the land and everything in it
- nobles - someone who was or belonged to a rich family
- knights, vassals - a service for the King to go into battle
- merchants, farmers, craftsmen - merchants were people involved in trade within foreign countries. Farmers provided food and crops for the land, Craftsmen were skilled in making/crafting particular objects.
- peasants and serfs - a poor worker that wasn't taken much notice of or appreciated by other social people.
